Hello folks! I just published my first note on Substack Notes, and would love for you to join me there!
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. I plan to use it very broadly. One day it could be to connect with other writers and thinkers, and on other days to ask questions or share work in progress. No concrete plans on how I will use it, other than to enjoy myself!
Only on day 2 of Notes and already getting a chance to connect with other writers and artists. A great example of Notes being put to lovely use is seeing how
of is posting/connecting. It’s been refreshing to see a space open up like this for people to get together and speak all sorts of stuff!Excited to see where Notes goes!
As for me, I’ve spent the last 2 days trying to finish up a piece about a service cat I met on a train last week. Hoping to send it out this week!
How to join Notes.
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Field Notes, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around!
You can also share notes of your own. I hope this becomes a space where every reader of Field Notes can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond.
I know some might not fancy another social media app, but there will be some that welcome a fresh and happy space to speak. SO - maybe see you there?
Sincerely,
Cameron
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Hey! Thanks for the shout, Cameron. I'm excited about Notes and look forward to seeing how it evolves. It certainly feels like a Twitter alternative and it could be a wonderful complement to so many photographers' Instagram activity. I hope you're well!
